Comfort Measures for Labour & Birth *APR

This class is for pregnant women who would like to learn more about comfort measures to help support and empower them in their upcoming birth. (Please note that this offering is for those who are pregnant only, and not birth partners at this time.) What will we cover in this class? - Hypnobirthing techniques (including 3 hypnobirth tracks to listen to at home). - Multiple labouring and birthing positions. - How to incorporate the use of a birthing ball. - How to include your birthing partner. - Demonstrate and practice techniques and positions for the different stages of labour, this includes the powerful use of touch and breath. - We will touch on birth preferences and possible interventions, our hope is to empower you to make informed decisions! We believe the more you know, the more options you have, which can lead to a more positive birth experience. - There will also be snacks and tea! Just in case you're unfamiliar, what is hypnobirthing? Hypnobirthing combines breathing, visualization and relaxation techniques to help with the release of fears, limiting beliefs and anxiety (both conscious and unconscious) that we may feel about birth. Practicing these techniques can greatly influence how we experience our birth by helping us feel more relaxed, confident and connected during the birthing process. Who are these classes for? - You are pregnant (in your 2nd trimester and onwards) and would like to feel more positive and confident about your upcoming birth. - You might be feeling anxiety about giving birth and would like to learn more about hypnobirthing and how it can help ease your fear. - You would like to learn more about labour and birthing positions that can help with a more efficient delivery and less damage to the pelvic floor. - You are curious about other tools and techniques that can help you cope during birth. *Please note, I'm not able to refund for missed classes or transfer missed classes to a later date. For prenatal yoga participants, I realize due dates can be very unpredictable! If you give birth before the end of the series, please let me know and I will refund you for any classes missed after your birth.
