Classes at the HUb Faq's
Questions about how the classes will work at the HUB? Here are a few FAQ's I thought might come up. If I have missed something or you'd like to ask any other questions, please feel free to reach out!
1) Do I have to wear a mask?
This is completely up to you and your comfort level. I, most likely will not be wearing a mask to teach, but will instead be observing safe social distancing during the class. According to the most recent BC Government guidelines you are not required to wear a mask while practicing yoga but masks must be worn at all other times before and after class. You are most welcome in class if you choose to wear a mask or not while practicing.
2) How many people will be in the class?
In compliance with BC Government guidelines for the room size/number of participants ratio, there will be a maximum of 8 students in class plus myself.
3) What are the HUB's cleaning protocols?
From the HUB's website:
Enhanced Cleaning Protocols
- Hand sanitizing stations have been placed inside the entrance doors of both buildings.
- Additional sanitizing stations will be placed outside of each room as supplies become available. Please wash your hands, and those of your children, frequently.
- Indoor high touch areas will be cleaned a minimum of twice daily.
- Program leaders & room renters are responsible for cleaning high touch areas post class, meeting or event. Adequate time will be scheduled between bookings to allow for cleaning and safe distancing for people while entering and exiting the building.
4) Anything else I should know?
Along with all of the above, the HUB has asked everyone who uses their premises to follow the BCCDC protocol:
- Please stay home if you are feeling unwell or have recently returned from an affected area or have come into contact with someone who is suspected to have COVID-19
- Please ensure social distancing (maintaining 6 feet between each person)
- Wash your hands often with soap and water
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, avoid others who are unwell, and stay home when you are sick.
- Refrain from shaking hands or close personal contact or sharing food or beverages
5) The BC Government's most recent guidelines for low intensity group fitness classes (that's us!):
